Why to Make Pig Feed into Pig Feed Pellets?
There are two types of pig feed: pulverous pig feed and pelleting pig feed. Pulverous pig feed is consisted of crushed pig feed raw materials. However, pig feed pellets is made of pig feed raw materials, compressed by an animal feed pellet mill. Under the action of 100 ~ 120℃ hot steam during the pelletizing process, pig feed pellets will soon become gelatinized and generate a better taste. It is easier for pigs to digestion and absorption. Processed under high temperature, pellets is more healthy for pigs. With good liquidity, pig feed pellets also perform well in storage and transportation.

You can weigh the raw materials according to the formula, and then you can mix them and crush them in a feed crushing machine. Or you can crush them separately and mix them at last. This two methods are all ok and you can choose one according to your processing plan.
Pelletizing Procedure of Pig Feed Pellets
Pelletizing is a core step for pig feed pellets producing. Because moisture conditioning and temperature control in the pelletizing process influence the pellets quality a lot. Commonly, the most suitable moisture content of the raw materials for feed pellets processing is 16% ~ 17% after conditioning. The lowest gelatinization temperature for the raw materials is 82℃. To producing quality pig feed pellet, quantity attention is needed during the pelletizing procedure. As to pig feed pellet size, pigs in different growth stage have different request. Generally, pellets with a size of 3/32 in. are suitable for suckling phase pigs; however, pellets with a size of 5/32 in. have the best gain efficiencies with growing pigs and finishing pigs.
Pig Feed Pellets Cooling and Packing
After the pig feed pellets is processed by the feed pellet mill, they are soft and hot. It is necessary to transfer them into the feed pellet cooling machine to take away the heat and moisture on the surface of the pig feed pellets. Finally, the pig feed pellets are dry and hard. You can store then in bags for storage or transporting them to market for sale.
